What was the great depression?


The great depression was when Economics changed, big loss of jobs, or wall street crashed.

What were some of the causes?
According to the website Wiki Answers, “The causes of the Great Depression are a matter of active debate among
economists, and are part of the larger debate about economic crises, although the popular belief is that the Great
Depression was caused by the 1929 crash of the stock market” (Wiki Answers).

Who were the migrant workers and how were they affected by the Great Depression? 
According to the website Wiki Answers “The migrant workers were Gorge and Lennie and they were affected by it because there were a lot of job losses.” (Wiki Answers)

Do migrant workers exist today? Where? what kinds of jobs do they have?
