The great depression was that many people moved to the west for more and better jobs. And they fought to stay on the land so they can make a living. They fought to find the money and to invest in some of the technologies to come along. There are cell drought but this was one of the worst recorded.

If I was in there spot I will trey to work or move to the west and trey to find new jobs or I can go and grow my own farm. I think that this might happen again because the government needs more money and he is trying to change money into coins. It affected the families because they didn’t have money to buy things and most of the people moved to the west. I will never would live like those people because her in the 2011 we have more jobs then in the 1930s and if people would take their property’s then they would have enough money to buy things like clothing’s, more crops, food, and etc. most people didn’t like what happen in the 1930s they felt sad and when they would of think about they wouldn’t like what happened. And if would of happened her we would have anything to do or where to live at and we would have to move to some other place and have to move we would like it.

My thoughts on the Napoleon Complex is that the napoleon complex is a feeling of someones height of being short. Alfred Alder named it the napoleon after military leader Napoleon Bonaparte, who was also short.

I personally don't believe the idea, I mean yes we bad times getting made fun of being not measure to height being to short, but yet now that we have the Napoleon Complex, How do we know know taller people don't feel accepted, out of line, don't fit in.

I had a friend who is still short till this day that may got fun of in her younger days, but now realizes being short is not so bad, can do as many amount of things tall can.

The Napoleon Complex relates to Curley because he felt unwanted to taller or bigger people so just as he felt made him who he is, a bully towards bigger people such as Lennie to protect himself from embarrassment.

Personal Response: OKIES (Tiyona)

I think these people went through a lot because they a had a long drought and farmers was forced off their land The drought deepened on the Great Plains. A lot of people lives change because the drought stopped them from farming. A lot of people moved away and they gave up. I could not imaging been in this place because that was a real bad drought. People had moved from one place to another so many times because of the drought. Lots of people had moved West because of the bad drought they had. A lot of people left or were pulled off their Plains.  I think it could happen again because it happened before to these people who was forced off their land. I also think their lives changed because it was very hard for them. I think that people went through a lot when that drought happened.  It hurt a lot of people in the Okies. Many people had to struggle because this drought made everyone leave their land, made farmers give up on what they were doing, and made families move to place to place.

George's Journal: The Dream (Enrique)

Dear journal,

Everyday that goes by me and Lennie want to achieve our dream.

Our dream is to have our own farm. We will live off the land. There will be no more need for working for other people.  Me and Lennie will be our own boss; no more waking up early in the morning.  We won't have to take orders from no man, it will be just me and Lennie. But, our dream is very hard to achieve because the money we make isn’t nearly enough. We need 600$ to have our ranch. We would need to spend nothing and save everything up. Lennie tells me to talk to him about our farm and the things we would do. Like I tell him, if he’s good he will tend the rabbits.  Man, does he love rabbits.  He gets excited every time I tell him that’s going to be his job. He doesn’t under stand its going to be awhile before this can happen, but I believe one day we will achieve this.

Enrique Hernandez: Okies and Of Mice And Men

Okies were people that migrated they moved from place to place. They migrated because everywere they would try to stay the farmers could buy the area where they lived so and have to move somewhere else. The farming caused them to move from place to place they farmed seasonal so they had to move to follow the seasons. for example you can not always plant things during the winter. Temperatures can get really low and the plants will die, and that would be a waist of money and time they waisted planting the crops. Many Okies decided to move West so California Oregon and Washington started growing and many people where pushed off the plains. Unlike Lennie and George move from ranch to ranch because Lennie is always messing up things for George. Lennie will get in trouble and they have to leave because they will not want them no more. If I was an Okie I would tell the farmers to get off of my property because that would be my property that I worked hard to get and I’m not going to let some random people tell me that I have to get out of my land.

Personal Response: Dust Storm (Tiyona)

The people that was in the dust storm went through a lot because the dust had caused a lot of damage to that state or city. Their lives changed when the dust storm had hit their state.  If I was in the same state, I would have been devastated. I would not want to be in something like that. It seems like a horrible thing and I would not want to be in something like that, it is a very bad weather condition. I think it could happen again because it happend once before.  I think the people who suffered from the bad weather condition had a very hard time. The storm caused the places to be destroyed. There have been weeks of dust storms, there had been more than one dust storm. The dust storms were a very bad thing and hurt a lot of people. The storm changed a lot of people lives.  It hurt the people really bad. The dust covered a lot of houses and it was every where. The dust storm was so bad it took at lot of hard work to clean up.
