Teen Challenges (Jesus)

1.     I think both female and male have difficult times in life. Some girls deal with
Their business and the boys don’t understand what they are going through. The boys do some certain things that girls don’t know about.

2.     Sometimes, The consequences of young females having babies is a struggle because they have to stay home for a month or two and they miss out on a lot of work in school and have to be able to catch up I what all their classes are doing. The parents have to help them raise the child because some don’t know how to raise a baby like how there parent raised the young mother, and the young mother can learn from their own mother. Yes they both take equal responsibility because some parents take turn taking care of the babies on their time that they have.
3.
Yes teens are overdosing on drugs and dying and some other teens are drinking to much alcohol. And drinking and driving can get you killed. It become mostly as teens go to high school because they hang with bad people and those bad people get them into stuff their not suppose to do. Yes if you’re a drug addict and they take you to jail and come out and start your addiction again than you need to go to a rehab for your addiction. And there are some consequences that you face if you don’t get your addiction fixed.

Drugs & Alchohol (Luz)

Do you think drug and alcohol use is a problem for  teens today or do you see it as a part of growing up? When does it become a problem? often use can lead to life changing consequences? Should anything be done to help prevent that?

Drugs are a big issue for teens today. A lot of teens think that doing drugs and drinking alcohol will make them fit in and feel more mature. But it actually makes them lose control of them self and lead them through the wrong path in life. A lot of times even their own friends can make you do all these things to make you think that they actually care about you when in reality they are just trying to mess up your life. It becomes a problem when their it too many overdoses. I think that we could make schools take drug test before the school year started. My conclusion is that drugs is a big problems in now day teens lives because you could get it so easy.

Teen Challanges (Eyonna)

2)
Does the females or the males have a more difficult time being a teen? What do they go through that puts them through some difficult times?

I think that girls have more difficult times than boys because girls go through more stuff then boys. Girls go through Periods, Cramps, Sex, Pregnancy, Bullying, Boys, and their appearance. Girls stress over a lot, even stuff they shouldn’t. Girls go through the struggle with a lot. Sometimes girls have to much going on, Girls will not have anything to worry about because some girls always think that suicide is the best way to clear their problems, but one thing we all know it that its not! For that being said Females are way stronger than what the boys even want to be. We may not be strong, athletic strong but were strong inside our head, inside our own thoughts. Sometimes we know wrong from right and sometimes we don’t. That really doesn’t matter because no matter what girl will always have a greater mind and the best ideas. Another thing between the girls and boys is that girls are more mature than the boys. They take things serious, and then the boys just joke around. Us girls are emotionally and really can’t help it. Something’s you can hardly understand what girls go through, but if you were a girl you would understand way better!

Teen Pregnancy (Marshanna)

Teens that go to Wyandotte, that are pregnant, an issue? What are the problems and things they have to take responsible for because of their actions of having a baby at a young age? What provocations do these teen parents have to go through? Do the two teen parents have equality in their actions or doe the males have the easy life?

I think that teens that are pregnant that go to Wyandotte high school is considered as a problem to most people because they are so young and most do not even know what they are doing after they get out of high school and that makes it a problem for there futures. The problems and things they have to take responsible for because of there actions of having a baby at a young age is having to keep food in the babies mouth and taking full care and responsibility for the baby for 18 years. The things these young parents have to face are making tough decisions like deciding whether or not to go to college or to get a job. I believe that the two teen parents are equal in both of there actions because it takes two to make a baby and the girl nor the boy can do it all alone.

Teen Pregnancy (Alissa)

Is teen pregnancy the biggest issue facing teens at Wyandotte? What are the consequences of having babies while young? What are the challenges these parents face? Do the teen mothers and fathers take equal responsibility or do you feel that males have it easier?

Here at Wyandotte pregnancy is not a big deal, deal in my opinion. Yes it’s irresponsible but it’s also responsible. What are the consequences of having babies while young? Well you wont be able to do anything active really like fun or anything. You can’t go out to parties or run around or anything at all. You get stuck with schoolwork and that’s only if you attend the school and don’t drop out. The challenges these young parents face would be (she) would have to carry a babe for nine months plus all the cravings and sicknesses along the way. And knowing she will have the problems of making new habits. The men/boys in this case would be they would have to worry about money and school and the babe so they would be just as over whelms as the woman… dose teen mothers and fathers take equal responsibility’s or do men have it easier? In my opinion woman have it worse then men they don’t have to worry about the babe being healthy or feeding or changing its dippers as much as the mother. The mother has more responsibilities then the father would more because 10 to 1 teen mothers drop out of school and the fathers don’t.

Drugs & Alchohol (Gustavo)

Explain if you think drugs and alcohol are a problem for teens now days or if its just part of growing up. When does drugs become a problem? Are drugs life changing? (should we do anything to prevent teens from taking drugs?

We should do everything we can to prevent teens from drugs.
Many teens try alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. Some teens try these substances only a few times and stop. Others can't control their urges or cravings for them. This is substance abuse. Teens may try a number of substances, including cigarettes, alcohol, household chemicals (inhalants), prescription and over-the-counter medicines, and illegal drugs. Teens use alcohol more than any other substance. Marijuana is the illegal drug that teens use most often; this is a problem Teens see in the world. This has nothing with growing up. In case teens shouldn’t see this things. These things are the cause of death, drug abuse, & making bad decisions. Trying drugs and alcohol is a gamble and there is no way to tell in advance whether or not you will develop an addiction. Teens are not too young to become addicts. Anybody who uses drugs or alcohol can become addicted. Addiction gets ugly very fast. Signs that an addiction is reaching a breaking point include; lying, stealing, drastic mood swings, changes in grooming habits or appearance, quitting extracurricular activities, negative changes in grades and hanging out with new friends. We should all work together in give drug text to the people who are giving this sign’s of addiction. In make sure the students in Wyandotte are safe from Drugs.

Challenges (Angel R)

Do you think that teen pregnancy is a big issue at Wyandotte for teens? Describe the consequences of having a baby? Describe the challenges these young parents face? Do you think that teen mothers and fathers take equal responsibility or do you think that the males have it easier?
Teen pregnancy is the biggest issue facing the teens at Wyandotte, because there are a lot of girls that go here and are pregnant and that now more teens are getting pregnant it makes other teens want to have a baby so they go have sex with the first person that says that he wants her to have his babies, then she’s stuck with the baby while he’s some where else. The consequences of  having a baby while your young is that you would have to take care of another human being and that means you have to find a babysitter or a day care for the baby to go to while your at school, doing homework is going to be harder, everything you use to be able to do you can’t cause you have a kid and you have a responsibility to do. The challenges these parents face are how they would take care of another, how they’re going to feed the baby how are they going to get the money to buy the baby clothes, pampers, formula,  bottles. Teen mothers and fathers do not take equal  responsibility when taking care of a child because the mom is going to spend most of her time taking care of the baby when the father is going to be sleeping, working, or out with his friends while she’s stuck at home with the baby. And when the baby cries at night she’s going to get up every time to go see what’s wrong with the baby not him he will get his rest while she’s tired all the time and doesn’t feel like doing anything cause she’s taking care of the baby.
