Teen Problems (Tra'Chell)

Is teen pregnancy the biggest issue facing teens at Wyandotte?  What are the consequences of having babies while young?  What are the challenges these parents face?     Do the teen mothers and fathers take equal responsibility or do you feel that males have it easier?

Decoded Question : Tell whether teen pregnancy is a big issue facing teens. Explain in full details what are the consequences of this outcome, what are the challenges of this outcome, and do the mother and father take equal responsibility.

Yes, teen pregnancy is a big issue teens are facing at Wyandotte. Here are some consequences of having a child while young. The first consequence of having a child while young are you going to have a difficult time passing your classes because you have to pay more attention to your child than your schoolwork. The next reason why you are going to have a difficult time passing your classes is because when you are with your child, you are going to have to give your child the attention that he/she needs. When you get to school, you are going to be exhausted from being up all night with your child.
The next consequence of having a baby while young is that you are going to have a difficult time providing for your child. I say that because if you don’t have a job, then how are you going to get your baby diapers, clothes, shoes, formula, diaper bag, bottles, and everything else your child needs. That means you have to go out and fill out applications so your child can have what he/she needs.
Another consequence of having a baby while young is you have to mature and grow up more quickly because you have another living being that you need to raise, support, and take care of. In order to do that, you need to be mature and act more like an adult instead of a teenager.
The last consequence of having a baby while young is that you can’t do what your friends or other teenagers are doing. You have another responsibility to take on. You are not going to have time to do what you want to do. That means you can’t go to parties, you can’t go to the movies unless you take your child with you, and you can’t drink or smoke. You have another living being inside of you and it’s not good to drink or smoke while you are caring another human being inside of you. Once that baby is born, he/she is going to change your life. You have to be all about your child and less about yourself.
I feel that males have it easier. I feel that way because instead of being there for the mother of his child, he is being a regular teenager. I also feel that males have it easier because they are not the ones caring the baby, they are not throwing up almost every day, they are not going back and forth to the doctor’s office to see how the baby is developing, and they are not going through all the pain that females have to go through.
