teens and drugs (Adrian)

Do you think drug and alcohol use is a problem for teens today or do you see it as just part of growing up? When does it become problem? Often use can lead to life changing consequences (Over-dosing, Sexual Assault, DUI, etc.).  Should anything be done to help prevent that?

I don’t think drug and alcohol use is a problem for teens, but some of these teens cant handle it and end up doing stupid stuff such as they get older. I think it is part of growing up. Because many of the young kids are see the older kids doing it and they would end up doing it as well because the younger kids look up to the older kids and think that the older kids look cool and would end up wanting to do those kinds of things. It starts to become a problem when they start to notice or they feel like they need it to live. They just like how the drug or alcohol makes them feel. Once they get so use to it they just wont want to put it away. And by that time something dangerous is going to happen to them.
All of those things are true but not all the teens do those things some can just stop doing drugs write away. I think something should be done about this before more and more kids kill themselves by doing drugs and alcohol. We should start showing high school and middle school kids what would happen if they keep doing these things. Like showing them examples of how overdosing would effect you and how you could go to jail if you get caught. If they get a DUI we should tell them what could happen before they learn the hard way.

  5. Well I really agree with you on the part where you said something can done about it! But in the same case the teens don't want to do nothing about it they thing the are to good for that, just because they do drugs! This kind of addictions take people to a not so good kind of future.
