DUST BOWL EFFECT

              The Living History Website said that, “California – the state that had once advertised for more migrant workers – found themselves overwhelmed by up to 7,000 new migrants a month, more migrants than they needed” (Living History).

 The Oklahoma historical society it said that, ‘’South westerners had been moving west in significant numbers since 1910. However, not until the 1930s did this migration, particularly to California, become widely noticed and associated with Oklahomans. During the Great Depression decade Oklahoma suffered a net loss through migration (outflow minus inflow) of 440,000. Although Oklahomans left for other states, they made the greatest impact on California and Arizona, where the term "Okie" denoted any poverty-stricken migrant from the Southwest (Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas). From 1935 to 1940 California received more than 250,000 migrants from the Southwest. A plurality of the impoverished ones came from Oklahoma.’’

My thoughts are about this is that most of the people who lived in the dust bowl really did have a hard time living there and I know they had they be very scared of that storm when they see it coming. I know for a fact that some of the people had to ware mask for their own safety reasons. I know I would never have what it takes to live in the dust bowl because I have amah so I think I would be sick for the rest of my life and I know with all the house that looks like the way look I know my family will have a really hard time living their. More than likely their lives changed when the dust bowl started to kill people and make them sick everyday of their life I know some them had to move from where they stayed. I hope this will not happened again because the earth had change over the years and been down to Oklahoma before so for I heard there is no signed of any dust storms lately.

American dream

Defining the American dream is like what Americas dream and how things can change for them in the future kind of like a wish. To me it has change over the years to up till now. The way things are is we have jobs, food, shelter, and we have property. We can go to school now for our self’s. We can work and get a reason amount of money for our self’s. Now not only men can go to work but also now women can go to work to. We can get food for us at a really good price that we can afford to pay for it. The positives and negatives that we have is doing things that can jeopardizes our chances of becoming things that we want to be in life and enjoy what we really like to do.

My American dream is to eliminate all criminal for the world and lower gas prices like something that the presidents should do. Because the reason why I say that is because things gotten a little out of hand over the years. Back then you can walk home and worry about criminals. What I hope for in the future is that good and well pay jobs will be available in the future for some people. And get homeless people from being homeless have shelter for them and some food for them to. What I see as my strength is having some good president to make this all happened but we have to wait until the American dream to come. And the only thing I think that can prevent me from us reaching that is the president making the same mistakes with something over and over again. Another thing could be the problem is the government using all our money and taking it from or not making enough jobs available  for the American citizens.

Love on the first sight

I don’t people should just fall in love on the first sight because I think that’s a little weird. The reason I think is because you have to you to get to know the person first before any thing else. The way I look at things is that sometimes people take it slow like every thing should go because to me it’s basically normal. If I was Romeo and Juliet I would learn on how to take to take it slow and get to know each other before going to all that stuff first. Even though Romeo and Juliet loves each other and know that they want to be together but to me they taking it a little to fast. Well I guest there in the same type place with bad things happening. Even though sometimes love can be strong but to me their love was a little strong but there love is a little strong just by hearing about it. But that’s Romeo and Juliet mind I cant speak for them so if that what’s the want do they can do what they want they want to do. All I have to say that for other people take slow like everyone else by taking it slow and don’t go so fast like Romeo and Juliet did.
