            Using a blank word document discuss the fallowing questions: Why do you think so many students drop out? What do you think happens to them- what are some of the effects of dropping out? What can be done to keep kids in school?

            I think many students drop out because they have to work to help out their family or most have babies and they drop out to work to give them what they need according to Thee Effects of Not Graduating High School it says “ reports form October 1998 show that 28.2 percent of employed youth found themselves to be unemployed with a year after they dropped out of high school. When compared to the students who did graduate high school.” also according to ‘people who graduate high school earn an average of $143 more per week that those who choose not to graduate.”  so out of that I think that its better for guys to stay in school so they can get a better job and earn more money to maintain their family, and mothers sometime drop out as well too because they get pregnant and they just cant assist to school. They might also drop out because they just simply don’t like school, they just don’t want to go to school they might think is a big waste of time.  So those were some of my opinions of why teens dropping out out of High School.

  I think students of all ages dropout because they feel like they’re not smart. Some of the other students might be making fun of him/her saying they are stupid they cant do anything right. They feel sad and they think no one wants to be there friend and just dropout. And when they dropout they don’t have much to do and just start causing trouble. For example, on the article The Effects Of Not Graduating High School article, “prisoners who are high school dropouts make up as much as 82 percent of the prison population in the U.S.”(Crossley)

There are a lot of things that teachers and other students can do to keep students from dropping out. For example some teachers could ask the kids who are struggling in school and ask them what they can do to make them feel better about school. Not many teachers do that they just give the work to the students and sometimes the students don’t even know what to do and they are to scared to ask because they will think they aren’t smart. All of those things would make high school graduates get in trouble and they wont be able to get a job. According to the article, The Effects Of Not Graduating High School article, “ 18.4 percent of high school graduates who choose not to enter college were unemployed” (Crossley)

Why do you think kids/teens get out of school and not finish it? When people don’t finish what do you think happens to them and what are some effects for not finishing school? What can the country do to keep kids/teens from finishing school and getting a better future?

Many kids/teens dropout because they think they’re cool and think that just for getting a job instead of finishing school would get them a better future. Other students dropout out of school because they either get bullied or other things that they fear or hate. If your trying to get a job at a business you have a less chance of getting the job because of not finishing high school and not getting a high school diploma.  For example, author Lenora Crossley said, “ According to the U.S.  Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, reports from October 1998 show that 28.2 percent of employed youth found themselves to be unemployed within a year after they had dropped out of high school. This is what happens if you drop out and you want to go to work in a big business. The country wants everyone to have a good future and to live a happy life. Like lets say you want to work in any sort of job and a high school graduate wants to work there to then you are mostly not getting a job because they will probably want the teen that finished school and has some experience. If they accept without a high school diploma your lucky but the one with the diploma is going to get more money than the one the without a diploma. In text named “less pay by author Leona Crossley said,” statistics provided by the center state that people who graduated high school earn an average $143 more per week than those who chose not to graduate. In addition, college graduates make ion average $336 more weekly than those who only graduated high school. This is about $479 more per week than those who did not even graduate high school. That’s why everyone should graduate high and not dropout because it can get you a better future and a better pay for the future. Your friends will be jealous of you because you’re making more money than them and your help your family in need for stuff in the future.

Many students dropout of High school because of many reason, they’re are many students who just won’t believe on them self’s, they confuse them self’s on thinking that they aren’t meant to be in school, that they don’t have the knowledge to past the classes, test’s and quizzes. Drugs are a particular problem of students dropping out. Drugs can become addicted really quit. On the first try, you’ll be wanting more, and more, until you get to the point were is necessary to smoke weed, take pills, or such things. This thing’s can kill you or cause bad health defects. But many students don’t know the facts, they just know that by taking drugs it makes their problems in life issues go away by not thinking about them, but realistic the problems are always going to be there unless you fix them. But that’s not true. Most students haven’t experience the real world that it’s out there. A lot of young teenagers who are living in the real world without a education in being unemployed go through depression, sadness, anger & a lot of them are scare and afraid because they don’t know what to do other then going to parties, getting high, getting drunk & doing stupid things in bad things like committing a crime for fast money or because of violets for instance, The dropout prevention center/network reported  “High school dropouts make up a higher proportion of convicts and inmates awaiting death row in America…  ( Crossly ). That’s a big problem to our country, & families, we can do so many things to keep students from dropping out, for example we can create different programs to help students know what’s really out there in the world if you end up dropping out without a education, we can show them in make them experience the life so they can really get the feeling of the struggles you will have to go through to survive. There are many things we can do, but we need the help from everyone to make things happen. But trust me this will change are world as how we know it & we will make a change on people life’s

There is a lot of students dropping out and we cant do anything that can make them stay in school.  In fact dropping out can have horrible consequences. For example,  author Leonor Crossley said that,  “high school dropouts make up a higher proportion of convicts and inmates awaiting death row in America” (Crossley). According to the national dropout prevention center/network, “we have to do a lot of thing to prevent those dropout to stay out of trouble but they are in so much trouble right now that they are dropouts but they don’t understand that an education is the only thing that can help them with there live in the future . one of the examples that Leonor Crossley said that “the national prevention center/network warns student that graduating high school affects their financial stability all the way to retirement age . Statics provided by the canter state that people who graduated high school earn an average $143 more per week then those who choose not to graduate”(Crossley). That why it not good to get out of high school before you graduate because many people don’t see that they are not going to earn that much money as they thought the would because they don’t have the graduation certificate in their hand to prove that they worked really hard to be thee with their certificates that many people wont even care that you have a criminal record they want prove that you graduated from high school that that meant that you have the knowledge to get a better job than a dropout

            Tell us two quotes from the article that you can think of the worse effects of dropping out of high school using 250 words and their requirements.

            I think the reason students drop out of school is because they either feel like they can’t be apart of the school and feel left out so they feel like the only option is to drop out, or the students standards for him/her self are low and don’t really have belief In there selves. Another reason could be because they don’t have any support at home and don’t care because nobody else does.

I think what happens when you drop out of high school you will have a smaller chance of getting a job, which leaves him or her with out enough money to buy what they need so they have to find a way to get money to live and support them selves by the only choice they feel they have which is to sale drugs which leads to a greater chance of incarceration. ‘’According to the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network.’’ What I think can be done to keep kids in school is giving them option choices for a better life, make sure that the teen is not having a hard time in school, ask a few questions about the teens home life, and to make sure the teen feels like they belong in the school and feel just safe when they are there.
