Teens & Drugs (Gabby)

What is your opinion on teens doing alcohol and drugs? Do you think it’s just part of them growing up? How can doing drugs and alcohol change your life? When, Why, and how does it become a problem?

Can you imagine teens doing drugs and alcohol? Well there are a lot of young teens nowadays that use alcohol and do drugs without caring what their consequences may be. They also don’t care on how it will affect their parents and not only themselves. By them doing drugs and alcohol they ruin their life not only because they’ll get addicted to it but also because drugs and alcohol can cause you to get cancer or any other medical conditions. Some people say that they learn from what they see.

         You can say that teens have parents that smoke and that drink so they have all the privilege to do it also. What they don’t understand is that their parents are already adults. Teens still have a long way ahead in life and their family members that are already adults don’t. There are also teens that drink and smoke to look cool in front of their friends, which it really doesn’t make sense on what’s so cool about that? Honestly I always ask myself if teens think about how doing those things affect themselves and their family? If a teen is driving  and did drugs or alcohol that night you never know if that teen can get pulled over and get D.U.I or get in a car crash. All those troubles would go to their parents. Their parents would have to be the ones to deal with whatever consequences they give them and the teen.

         You can’t really control someone to not smoke or drink because if they want to do it they WILL find a way to. The teen’s parents can try to be stricter with the teen but just like a parent wants free time teens do also. Something should be done about it but not much can be done. Teens are the ones that choose their future.
