Sports in School (Jaden)

I believe athletes have it harder in school, because I hear teacher say all the time “You better listen or I’m tellin’ coach” or “If you don’t pay attention in class and get your work done your not playing on Saturday”.  Athletes have to meet after school everyday and workout for 2-3 hours and some have to come after school everyday and some days on weekends. I do think they get away with a lot of thing like when they get in trouble; they have an entire team to lie for him or on somebody else.
Girls being on guys sports is a bad thing, I think they should talk to the district and try to start an all girl team. The problem with girls being on guy sports is they take up to much time, they would need there own dressing room, they need more care, so if they get hurt it would take longer to figure out what’s wrong and they’d probably be crying so it would be hard for figuring out what there saying or what there answering.
I think sports are good in school. I think it’s just another way for kids to escape what ever their going through. Plus it makes a college application a little more interesting, it’s letting them know that you were and still will be involved with there school and it could provide scholarships for students who don’t have enough money to pay to get into the school.

Sports in Schools (Erick)

Many people think athletes get easy in school. Do you think many schools take it easy on their athletes? Or rather, do you think it’s harder for athletes in school because of all they do after school?

No I think many schools don’t take it easy on their student athletes and treat them just like any other student in school. Why I say this is because I’ve had friends who are in sports and it becomes harder for them to keep up with there work and there athletic sport and if your failing in a class they don’t make it easy on you they give you more work and kick you out of the sport your in. Also that I’ve known it takes a lot focus on both school and your athletic sport which makes it complicated and not easy for any athlete. Yes I do think it becomes harder for athletes in school because of that they do after school because it takes time away from you doing your homework assignments and being able to study for an up coming test or quiz that requires practice for you to understand it. Another thing is that since you are staying after school all the time and have a lot of homework assignments to do you will get frustrated and stressed which will make your focus situation much harder and might cause drop on your grades because it doesn’t allow you to work in focus and your always going to be worried of the tons of work you’ll have.

Sports in School (Jameila)

Should girls be allowed to play boy’s sport’s team? Why/Why not? What could a girl bring to a team? What problems could it cause? What would be learned from it?

Do you think girls should be able to play boy sports with boys? Or do you think they shouldn’t? What more can a girl bring to a team? If there were problems, what would the problems be? What could people learn from it?

I think girls should be able to play boy sports with boys because games are games and games are for everyone. I games are really are an enjoyment of life and it brings people closer than they think. I also think games help with communication better and better teamwork. Maybe one day games can make the world a better place by everyone coming together and getting along better. A girl can bring better teamwork and females and males can get along better in the real world. Some girls have good teamwork in sports and enjoy playing with other kids like boys their age. Problems it could cause would be someone getting injured real badly. Some boys play really rough and some girls are sensitive and if a girl gets hurt numerous times then maybe they will stop the decision of girls playing boy games with boys. Something that would be learned from it would be maybe that everyone would learn to get along and participate with others.

Many people think athletes get it easy in school. Do you think many schools take it easy on their athletes (easier classes, nicer on grading, etc)? Or rather do you think it’s harder for athletes in school because of all they do after school?

What are your thoughts on are athletes got it easy in school or do they have it harder because of their extra curriculum assignments and duties?

My thoughts are that I think that athletes got it harder because they have to communicate with their teachers about their grades if they are failing. They also got it harder because if they have a failing grade then they have to stay after school until they get their grade up. I think they got it harder because if they stayed for tutoring and they still don’t have their grade up to a C or above then they will not be able to play. Then if they are not able to play unless their grade is up then I think they will quit because they are not involved in the game.

School & Athletes (Alan)

Many people think athletes get it easy in school. Do you think many schools take it easy on their athletes (easier classes, nicer on grading, etc.)? Or rather, do you think it’s harder for athletes in school because of all they do after school?

Numerous folks believe sportspersons get it simple in school. Do you believe lots of schools take it calm on their sportspersons (simpler lessons? Pleasanter on grading, etc.)? Before somewhat, do you believe it’s difficult for athletes in school because of all they do after school?

Well people think wrong on athletes because it’s not easy in school. They treat them the same as a regular person or student would be treated.it doesn’t matter if you’re an athlete or not you still need to do your homework and other things. Its sort of hard because if your sored or injured you still need to come to school like last year I heard from one of my friends told me that they did difficult exercises. When I was in the Central Middle school soccer team we did scrimmage and passing the ball and learning how to kick the ball at perfect aim. Our coach was named Mrs.Drumwright and she was also my advocate. I was not good in soccer, but I had some days were I was really good and some days were I was really bad. Some classes were kind of hard because of all the frustration from practice. The day that wasn’t that much frustrated was Thursday because on Wednesday we don’t have practice. You also have to have good grades above a C- and up. When I was in soccer I had tutoring twice because one time I was failing foods, which is a class where you cook and you do a report on what you did and procedures. The other class I was failing was reading but then the reading teacher helped me understand it a little bit more and then I passed it. Its not as easy as it looks, but if you stay focused and pay attention in class then you’ll be right on track. Remember try to pass all your classes and you’ll take a step to success

Sports in school (Mariana)

Should girls be allowed to play boys sport’s team? If no why not? What could a girl bring to a team? What problems could it cause? What should be learned from it?

In my mind girls should be able to do anything that a boy can do because we are all right we can do sports just like boys or even better all we need is practice and actually wanting to do that sport also letting the girl try out might be seen by other girls and they would want to try out to.

A girl can bring both problems and benefits to the team because benefits because maybe the girl is really good in that sport and problems because maybe the boys think its not okay to have a girl on that certain team.

Problems that  girl on a team can bring is that maybe the boys start to treat the girl unfair, or maybe the team has to waste more money because they would need someone to be incharge for her also she would need a different place to change those are some of the problems that would happen if they let a girl on the team with boys.

Something that can be learned are that the girl may bea rally good player an it would teach the boys that both girls and boys can be good in that sport and it can encorged girls to try out more it can also show the both boys and girls to respect each other in every way.
