Atheletes as Role Models (Tra'Chell)

What role do athletes play in our society? Should they be role models? What happens to their fans when these role models cheat, commit crimes, etc.?

Athletes play an important role in our society. I believe athletes should be role models because they have a lot of people that are looking up to them because they are achieving their dreams as professional athletes. Most people want to play a professional sport so they look up to the people who are professionals. They get their inspiration from the professional athletes. They practice and practice so they get better everyday so they can be like the professional athletes. If an athlete commit a crime, cheat, or do drugs they will loose all of their fans because don’t nobody want an athlete that supposed to be a role model and play a sport be doing anything illegal. Their fans will also be disappointed because they look up to the athletes and support them by going to all of their games. The fans will most likely not go back to the athletes games because they did something illegal.
