How do I feel about the napoleon complex is that is is kinda
true because I seen in movies and I think it could be true. Do I believe that
its true yes I do believe that its true because like if I was short I would
pick on people bigger than me so I can feel big. Do I know somebody like this
no I dont know somebody like this. The way this complex relates to curley is
because he is always picking on lennie because he is bigger than him. Some
other things is like if I was short I wouldn’t want to get pick on by people
bigger than me. I would want to feel good and make my self feel superior and
bigger than I really am. I would do stuff that would make me feel good like
football and wrestling that would make me kind of big and more manly. I would
also do other things like drive big truck and play football with out pads and
wrestle people bigger than me. I would feel like can accomplish stuff that probably
any other little person couldn’t do. But in curley’s case he picked on people
for no reason like if they were bigger than him he. Thought they were a threat
and he wanted to show them that he was not small or week. He wanted to be seen
or known and the little person that is not weak. He also wanted to be known and
the bosses son and he didn’t want anybody messing with his wife so he fought
and pick on people bigger than him so. He didn’t get pick on or thought of as
if he was weak.

American Dream
1.
The American dream Was When Someone Was Wanting
a Better Life With A Farm, Property, and Even a House. People that Lived Over
seas Also Want To Live the American Dream, or even People That Didn’t Have a
Good Life in the Long Run. The Good Thing about America is that America have
Rights. And We Live our Rights So that We Don’t Go Through the Bad Times in the
Past.
2.
My American Dream is to Live in a 2-Story house,
but the only Way I can Do that is to succeed in School, Get My Business Degree
to Be able to Live my Dream, and My dream is to become and NFL Player, But if I
don’t fulfill my dream, I have a Back-up Plan. My Back up Plan is to become an
Architect. I usually have Good reasons to fulfill my Back up Plan, I Just need
a master’s and Bachelor’s degree For That.

The dust bowl winds started in 1932 but the
Dust Bowl got its name from the horrendous winds were starting to begin in
1935. The primary area it affected was the southern Plains. “The northern
Plains were not hit so badly but the drought, the blowing dust, and the decline
of agriculture in the region had a nationwide effect”. The wind "turned
day into night" and was so strong it picked up the topsoil on the ground
and blew it away in large clouds of dust. The cause of the soil blowing away
was poor farming techniques that ruined the topsoil. At the same time, the
increase in farming activity placed greater strain on the land. As the
naturally occurring grasslands of the southern Great Plains were replaced with
cultivated fields, the rich soil lost its ability to retain moisture and
nutrients and began to erode. The displaced farmers were
forced to look for work elsewhere and became the migrants described in John
Steinbeck's, grapes of wrath. Families from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New
Mexico, Nevada and Arkansas, packed what they could
or what was big enough to fit in cars and trucks and headed west. Most were aiming for California where they would become a class of
ALL migrant farmers, following the crops during the harvesting season. That
reads (more and more farmers gave up or were forced off of their land). “In
addition, the relentless march of new tractors meant that the farmers who were
able to scrape together enough money to buy a tractor could buy out their
neighbors” so some people had to live off their neighbors. The plight of the Okies and other plains
migrants caught the sympathy of people across the country, “This was because these migrants were
white, in contrast to the Mexican and Filipino workers who supplied the
"factory" farms with the seasonal labor needed before and after okies
arrived”. The okie’s also came in family groups and were in desperate
straights, living in tents or out of the back of a car or truck. Some went to
cities. But many decided to head west. In fact, during the 30s hundreds of
thousands left the plains for the WEST COAST. So many migrated from Oklahoma
that they were called the "Okies" in the popular press. For years,
California, “Oregon and Washington had been growing. At the end the dust bowl
hurt a lot of people especially the Okies”.

I believe that the American dream is living well , or
doing well for your family without putting them through a struggle. Honestly I
don’t really see a change in the American dream because people or parents,
guardians still want the best for themselves, or their families and their
children. I think that the positives of America is that we have a lot of power
first of all, and a lot of money, we have a really good strong government , and
a really great and strong president who I think can hold us up as long as we
stay with him and his word. The negatives I believe are the people that are
ignorant and do stupid things that take are society down, such as robbers, or
killers, these to me are the people that really break us apart, if people like
this were gone we would be just fine.
My American dream is to have
a good family and a beautiful wife and children. In my future I want to go to
college to get my masters degree in business, I want to go to LSU. I would
really like to go to the NFL and play for the Kansas city Chiefs, if that does
not work out I would really like to be an electrical engineer, I believe by
doing this I really think I can make a great living for me and my family. What
really could stop me from getting to that point are bad friends who could
prevent me from getting where I want to go. Also another thing that could stop
me is lack of confidence or not working hard at what I do best, because I could
be good at something but if I don’t work at it how could I get better.
